UHD is Growing!
We are continuously adapting to meet the changing healthcare needs of our community. This includes adding staff and services. Most recently, we broke ground on an 8,350 sq. ft. expansion project for the new location of our clinic in Fairmont, MN. Key features include additional enhanced procedure rooms, which will allow for more numbers and types of office-based procedures. The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2024, at which time UHD’s current Fairmont Clinic will leave its current site and move into the expanded and upgraded new location.

Practicing at UHD
UHD serves multiple counties in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa, and is the only hospital for several of those counties. Faribault County, MN comprises 82% of UHD outpatient admissions while the remaining adjacent counties comprise 95% of all outpatient encounters. The population within a 10-mile radius of Blue Earth is about 9,000 and within a 20-mile radius is about 30,000.
