Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology is a division of medicine that manages treatment and provides surgical care of the eyes and the visual system.

At United Hospital District, our consulting ophthalmologists perform surgeries to treat serious diseases that affect the eyes, the visual system or the body in general. Some of these conditions include glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, amblyopia, and strabismus (crossed eyes).
